Our recent paper, "Securing Load Balancing over QUIC," has been accepted for the IEEE High-Performance Switching and Routing conference, which will take place in Montreal, Canada. Congratulations and thanks to all of my co-authors, including Alfred University's undergraduate student Dagim Mindaye!

In the paper, we show the usability of QUIC for stateless in-network load balancing, without the involvement of the network control plane. In the meantime, QUIC packets, except for the initial client packet, can bypass the load balancer, which benefits the performance of the system. We also investigate and mitigate attacks on QUIC in this scenario, including full load balancer bypass and 0-RTT IP spoofing.
