Western NY photoalbum
Climate change has caused unprecedented wildfires in North America, which resulted in never seen air pollution in the part of New York State I live. It is a reminder that our unwillingness to dramatically reduce greenhouse gas emissions directly affects the quality of life on this planet. It is time to act now. In this post, I share some of my favorite photos of Western NY, specifically, St Lawrence County and Finger Lakes regions.
A long bike ride to Pennsylvania
Today I biked across a state border - for the first time. My destination was Genesee Park in Genesee, PA. The total length of the ride (back and forth) was a little less than 50 miles.
Photos from Rochester, NY
Rochester has played a significant role in my life. It’s where I studied and made many great friends. In this post, I’m sharing some of my favorite places in the city—South Wedge, Highland Park and its surroundings, Frederick Douglass memorial sites, the cherry trees at the University of Rochester, the music venues where I performed both solo and with my band, and the downtown streets filled with street art and live music.
End of the school year
With the commencement, we conclude the school year at Alfred University. It was exciting - I am thankful for the great students I had and many opportunities for improvement. I have changed a lot in my courses, adding labs to show the applications of the concept we study, as well as to introduce students to various technologies in software engineering.
